What we did through out the year.

This year we started taking pictures in September all the way till December. What we did between those months we learned about the history of cameras, and what the first camera was, which was the box camera. It was in stores for about 80 years. Later on in the year, they made photography post cards; for families, so the grandparents could see their grandchildren. It was really popular at the time. In 1908, that’s when they started putting pictures in newspaper.
The next thing we did was learn about a photographer Helen Levitt, I chose that photographer, there where a lot of photographers to choose from, and when I saw what her work was I knew I had to choose from, I liked the way she took pictures of kids and stuff, and that inspired me cause I love taking pictures of my nieces. What I thought was cool was that she taught herself photography, and she didn’t get any help, I think that is a really cool thing. Here are some details about Helen Levitt that I thought where pretty interesting; there was a crisis in the 1930's. Photographers wanted to expose the problems of what was going on during that time. But Helen didn’t want to do that. So, she took a different path. She took pictures of children of he New York neighborhoods. She was fascinated with the sounds, dance, books, and foreign films.
After that assignment we payed homage to our photographer, and mine was Helen levitt, and what I did there was take pictures similar to her; and I took pictures of little kids and what they did in the neighborhood, just like her. They we started to learn oh how to use photo shop, we learned how to paste pictures into pictures. So we had to do that, and I think I did pretty good, it was difficult, but I think I got the hang of it. It was a cool experience to learn on how to do that.
Next thing we did was that we learned Helvetica; people who deal with Helvetica are called typography. People don’t usually know what typography is. It’s just like dealing with font, and printing with type. Helvetica is everywhere in our life’s, when we go to target, bus stops, subway's, in the school, billboards. Just about everywhere you go, you
Will experience Helvetica. What I think is cool about that, is that “target” is Helvetica. I would have never guessed.
Next assignment was to choose a photographer, and I picked Connie Wanek. We had to take a picture on something she would take. And that’s basically all we did. We also learned more on how use more tools on photo shop, and we edited that picture we took also.
The last thing we did in the year was to take 100 pictures. We took 100 pictures based on this photographer Annie Liebovitz. She was really good with her lighting. She took pictures of famous people, like Donald trump for example. She also took nude pictures of people. People say that she was really good at what she was doing. The way that she got into Rolling Stone was because she was a staff there, then a producer asked her to take some pictures and he was very impressed at what she had done. In 1983, Leibovitz left Rolling Stone and began working for the entertainment magazine Vanity Fair. While working for "Rolling Stone", Leibovitz became more aware of the other magazines. Leibovitz is noted for her use of bold primary colors and surprising poses. Many of her Rolling Stone covers have become collector's items. I think that those are some amazing facts about her and how she ended up to where she is right now. I think that it is cool that she is with Vanity Fair. She is am amazing photographer.

Annie was born in 1949. She was born in Conneticut. She has three children. When Annie was taking pictures, she was daring at what she did; like the poses she told people to do, what kind of weather she took pictures in, and what she told celeberties to do. She ws really good with her lighthing. She took pictures of famous people, like Donald trump for example. She also took nude pictures of people. People say that she was really good at what she was doing.
